Tony Clements

Tony joined Nexus Planning as a Director in November 2021 to establish and lead our new Bristol office. Before joining the team Tony was a Partner at Rapleys LLP, prior to which he lead the Bristol Office and Regional Residential teams at GL Hearn between 2013 and 2018, and was Head of Planning at RPS Bristol between 2009 and 2013, having joined the team in 2003. Tony has well over twenty five years’ experience as a professional planner, with the last twenty-one years spent in consultancy.
Tony has extensive experience advising major home builders including Crest Nicholson, Taylor Wimpey, Vistry Group, Barratt Homes, Persimmon Homes, and CALA Homes, and developers including Land Improvement Holdings, Places for People, and Curo Developments. Tony has also advised public sector bodies including Severn Trent Water Ltd, Thames Valley Police Authority and the Association of Chief Police Officers. Tony is an experienced expert witness having acted on behalf of clients at major planning inquiries and examinations in public across the country. He has significant experience in successfully managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams on a wide range of major projects with a particular focus on large scale residential schemes.
Tony has been a Chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since 1997.
