Julia Frecker is a Senior Planner with experience across the UK and Australia, working in diverse development sectors including residential, institutional, commercial, and retail.

Julia is well-versed on a wide range of planning issues, leading projects for both public and private clients. Her expertise extends to the review of retail applications, and the preparation of retail and leisure studies.

Since joining Nexus in 2025, Julia predominantly works in the retail and leisure sector on behalf of a number of local government clients in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Her work includes town centre health checks, retail capacity assessments, planning policy reviews and vitality and viability studies. Her experience also includes retail and leisure audits, planning appraisals and advising on retail planning applications

Before joining Nexus, Julia worked at Martin Robeson Planning Practice in London and Urban Edge Consultants in Melbourne, advising on a broad mix of residential, commercial, industrial and institutional planning applications and development proposals.
