The former Novartis HQ site in Horsham was allocated for employment uses in the Local Plan but had been vacant for some time. Extensive marketing efforts showed that there was no viable market interest in the site for its allocated use.
Meridian Water is the largest regeneration priority area in Enfield, covering 82 ha of brownfield, retail and industrial land. Enfield Council have set ambitious targets for the site, which will create a new town centre, 10,000 new homes and employment alongside a new rail station.
The site lies within the Wythenshawe Masterplan area, forming part of the wider regeneration of Wythenshawe Town Centre.
