The Earl’s Court site is allocated in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) and London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham development plans for mixed-use development. The site has recently been subject to planning applications for the development of the entire site-wide masterplan.

We provided advice to the RBKC in relation to retail, leisure and town centre planning policy issues, specifically focusing upon the scale and likely impact of new local centres throughout the Earl’s Court development.

The advice we provided enabled RBKC to understand the likely impacts on existing surrounding defined ‘town centres’ at Earl’s Court, Brompton Road, West Kensington and Fulham Broadway, along with the formulation of a land use parameter framework to ensure that the planned new local centres will be able to serve the new residents and workforce of the Earl’s Court development.
