Rob Pearson is an Executive Director with more than 25 years’ experience providing strategic planning advice.

He joined Nexus in 2015, and specialises in retail, leisure and town centre development. He counts around 100 local authorities as clients and has produced multiple evidence-base studies for Local Authorities. Rob was appointed as an Expert to the English Government’s High Streets Task Force and is retained by the Northern Irish Executive to provide retail planning advice.

Rob has also led large retail and leisure mixed-use schemes for numerous private sector clients across the UK and in Europe. He has worked with clients on a wide range of planning applications, as well as the preparation and presentation of appeals.

Rob heads up Nexus Analytics & Research - an experienced team of demographic, economic and GIS specialists, helping organisations sell the positives of their planning applications.

He has a number of residential sector clients and has led large mixed-use schemes for many private sector clients throughout the UK. Rob is a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
