Roger Tustain is the Managing Director and a founding Director of Nexus Planning. With more than 35 years’ experience in town planning across both the public and private sectors, he advises on strategic residential and employment development projects throughout the UK.

Roger began his planning career in 1990, working at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, and Birmingham City Council, before moving into private consultancy in 2000. Having built up a track record in identifying and successfully promoting large scale residential led development, Roger established Nexus Planning in 2013. He has since led the growth of the business into a national independent planning consultancy.

His expertise includes strategic planning, site promotion, planning appeals and Local Plan Examinations in Public, with extensive experience promoting large-scale urban extensions and new settlements. Roger continues to lead major client projects, including strategic residential and employment schemes in the Midlands and South of England.

His experience includes projects for clients including RPG, Hallam Land, Kier Property, University of Warwick, Miller Homes, Croudace Homes, Lone Star Land and Miller Developments.

Roger has been a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since 1992.
