NAR was appointed to produce a Socio-Economic and Human Health chapter for an Environmental Statement in support of a strategic development at South West Aylesbury of up to 1,400 new homes, a primary school and associated community facilities.

Our work included a baseline analysis of the socio-economic context of the local area, and an evaluation of the likely impacts of the proposed development in terms of the economy, housing and human health.

From this, we produced recommendations for how the development could minimise any negative impacts and maximise positive impacts, which formed part of the planning application submitted by the wider Nexus Planning team.

Planning permission was secured on behalf of Gleeson Land in May 2026 - a significant milestone for a development of this scale.
