Heather has over 14 years’ experience working extensively across the private sector, including retail, commercial mixed-use and residential projects, and is particularly experienced in the production of retail impact assessments and retail audits and retail evidence base studies and strategies for local planning authorities. Heather has acted on behalf of local authority clients at Public Examination.

She has most recently been involved in the preparation of town centre strategies and place plans, working with local authorities to plan for the future of their centres, and assisting in how these then translate into Development Plan documents.

Heather has also successfully delivered a number of large-scale commercial and residential schemes for a range of private sector clients across the UK. This work includes initial site finding exercises, the preparation of detailed planning and retail assessments, application discussions with local planning authorities and project realisation.

Her recent clients include Morbaine, DTZ Investors, Emerson, LPC Living, NHS Property Services, Frontier and Langdale. In addition, Heather has also worked with a number of local authority clients including Allerdale Borough Council, Blackpool Council, Copeland Borough Council, Derby City Council, Northumberland County Council and Trafford Council.

Heather is a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
