We are delighted to have secured reserved matters approval on behalf of Taylor Wimpey plc for 500 dwellings on land to the north of Hassocks. Working closely with our client, we coordinated the application, which was approved by the Mid Sussex Planning Committee in December 2021.
The approved development includes 150 affordable homes, significant areas of public open space that encourage social interaction and activity, high quality soft landscaping throughout the site, and pedestrian and cycle linkages towards existing services and facilities in Hassocks that minimise the reliance on the private car. Further, the development also achieves an 11.8% biodiversity net gain, and a Fabric First approach has been employed to ensure that the development exceeds Building Regulation requirements.
