.KIP HOTEL, LONDON
We were appointed by Baxter (OpCo) Limited to prepare an advertisement consent and full planning application for a street artwork installation at .Kip Hotel directly adjacent to Hackney Overground Station.
Our Solutions
The western elevation of the Kip Hotel, visible of exiting the Overground Station, is uninspiring and does little welcome passengers to the area. As such, the Kip Hotel saw an opportunity to make a positive contribution, by transforming the currently blank, characterless western elevation of the hotel into a high impact, inspirational exhibition space for contemporary street art which will uplift and enlighten.
In collaboration with Creative Debuts, .Kip Hotel will be hosting an annual competition “Window to Hackney” to give artists a chance to win an opportunity to display their artwork in this highly visible location.
The Outcome
We worked closely with London Borough of Hackney to achieve both advert consent and full planning permission to enable this unique installation.
