ADDLESTONE TOWN CENTRE, SURREY

We were appointed by Bouygues Development to prepare and submit a detailed planning application for a comprehensive mixed-use redevelopment in Addlestone Town Centre.

Our Solutions

Working closely with Bouygues Development, we successfully co-ordinated an integrated and consistent strategy across a wide range of planning issues. This included managing concerns around the interrelated matters of air quality, transport and noise in a constrained urban area. We supported the planning application further by preparing an Environmental Statement which analysed socio-economic, transport and air quality impacts.

Through employing such an integrated approach to the submission, we were able to effectively and efficiently deliver the project within a tight timetable, enabling our client to start construction promptly and meet their corporate objectives.

The finalised application provided enhanced retail and leisure provision, much needed housing and highly desirable public spaces - and delivered increased economic output.

The Outcome

Permission was granted for 213 residential flats, a retail offering of 7,000 sqm, cinema, hotel and a multi-storey car park. Construction commenced in early 2015 and the development is now completed, providing transformational regeneration benefits to the town – acting as a catalyst for further growth and investment.
