Planning application submitted for 1,400 dwellings on land at South West Aylesbury
19th December 2018
Having successfully promoted land at South West Aylesbury for inclusion in the emerging Local Plan, Nexus Planning has submitted an outline planning application for development on behalf of Gleeson Strategic Land.
- Seeking outline approval for up to 1,400 dwellings, the proposal forms a key part of the wider ‘Aylesbury Garden Town’ proposals.
- The scheme includes a 2-form entry primary school, community building and, in accordance with garden town requirements, gives 50% of the site over to green infrastructure.
- Key transport infrastructure will also be provided in the form of the 'South West Link Road’. With land reserved for future dualling, this road will join a wider circular route around Aylesbury.
- The High Speed 2 railway line adjoins the western boundary of the application site.
Nexus Planning continues to engage in the Local Plan process, and with the Council, in order to deliver strategic levels of growth to Aylesbury in accordance with Garden Town aspirations.
