Final day - MIPIM 2018
16th March 2018
The final day began with torrential rain, but in contrast to an upbeat and interesting debate about how the Liverpool City Region is seeking to change the car-reliant habits of its residents by creating a better environment for sustainable modes of travel to succeed.
Trowers & Hamlins hosted a brunch on the beach event, which was incredibly well attended despite Mother Nature’s attempts to intervene.
We were guests at the LPC Living Lunch, held at the opposite end of the bay from the Palais before heading back towards the centre for drinks with our client CEG which gave everyone a chance to reflect on their week as events were drawing to a close.
Amanda caught up with Forty Shillings on the challenges of the forthcoming Elections in London and then made a last visit to the London Stand before joining Cratus and their other guests for an excellent dinner at Restaurant Mantel in the old town and much enlighting discussion on a range of political issues of relevance to the property market in the UK.
Justin finished his week by attending Place North West’s closing drinks party, which as always was extremely well represented and they somehow arranged for the sun to make a reappearance. A great end to a busy but highly rewarding week.
We now looks forward to following up with the new connections made at MIPIM back in the UK and building upon the now strengthened relationships with our existing contacts.
