Consultation undertaken on a new Training Centre in Croydon for the London Fire Brigade
24th January 2018
Nexus Planning has been advising the London Fire Brigade on its new proposed training centre in Croydon. An extensive programme of public consultation, cumulating in a two day public exhibition, has been carried out.
As well as a modern classroom facility, incorporating computerised scenario training and simulation rooms, there will be a real fire training facility within an enclosed six storey building. This will allow firefighting exercises in tall buildings to be carried out in realistic conditions – of great importance to the capability of the London Fire Brigade, as London’s skyline continues to rise and fire safety is a key issue in the Mayor’s draft London Plan following recent and tragic events.
