Lauren has over 20 years’ experience in planning consultancy. She spent the first 10 years of her career working as a planning consultant involved all aspects of plan making – from preparing Local Plans, to advising local authorities on how to progress their plans, helping stakeholders engage more effectively in plan making, through to advising local authorities in setting up their joint planning arrangements.

She also prepared evidence base reports such as SHLAAs, settlement studies, housing requirements reports and SAs to inform Local Plans, as well as wider research into plan making for the government which informed changes to national policy on plan making.

Lauren has spent the second part of her career submitting planning applications on behalf of land promoters and housebuilders for small and large developments, with a particular focus on residential and residential-led mixed-use developments. A career highlight was project managing a large consultant team and obtaining planning permission and subsequent reserved matters consents for the award winning redevelopment of a large redundant chocolate factory in the south west. Lauren’s recent clients include Taylor Wimpey, Crest Nicholson, Gleeson Land and Vistry.

Lauren is a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
