We advise clients across a range of development sectors in locations across the UK. We have a ‘one team’ ethos and provide a collegiate environment where all opinions are valued. We encourage our staff at all levels to share their experiences, knowledge and opinions.
Succession planning is central to our approach – providing opportunities for all of our staff and providing us, and our clients, with continuity. A number of our current Board Directors started with the company at Senior Planner level.
Employee-ownership is part of our ‘DNA’. Our staff are given the opportunity to own shares in our company – giving them a direct interest in the success of the business. It also encourages a culture whereby our staff have a more direct relationship with the success of the company. We want our staff to see work with us as a career rather than a job.
We are an equal opportunities employer.

Graduates
We recognise the importance that graduates play in supporting and expanding our business. In order to provide graduates with the best start, we ensure that they have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, across multiple development sectors and specialisms which can include residential and strategic land, regeneration, retail and town centre development and health and education projects. This variety ensures that the experience gained is as diverse as possible.
We provide the support needed to achieve the RTPI APC through allocating a specific ‘mentor’ to each graduate to assist them through the process, and we arrange a variety of CPD events that graduates can benefit from and contribute to. We also have strong links with the RTPI North West Regional Activity Committee, the RTPI North West Young Planners and the Manchester Young Professionals, who all organise a wide range of events that our team regularly attend, as well as the Surrey Young Planners which provides an opportunity to expand professional networks and we proactively engage with the wide range of CPD and social events organised by the RTPI and New London Architecture in central London. All of our graduates have successfully achieved RTPI status when they have applied.
Work must be professionally rewarding but it must also be an enjoyable environment generally. We actively encourage our staff to be involved in a range of social and charity events. We hold an annual European symposium, to which all of our staff are invited, at which business objectives and successes are shared, and all staff are able to mix socially – enhancing the sense of community and familiarity with the whole business, while providing an opportunity to explore planning / design issues in different European cities.
