We have submitted a hybrid application on behalf of a Landowner BXB Cottam Properties for the second phase of the redevelopment of a former brickworks in Preston.
The first phase, which has been sold to housebuilder Lane End, has consent for 114 homes and work began on site last year.
Full planning consent has been sought for the construction of a 17,800 sq ft supermarket to be occupied by Aldi as anchor tenant under a pre-let signed last week.
Outline planning consent has been sought for the construction of 114,000 sq ft of retail and commercial space, 89 homes and related landscaping, car parking, servicing and open space.
– Gary Goodman, director of BXB Cottam Hall Properties, said:
“Our proposed mixture of commercial, retail, community and residential development will regenerate this site bringing it back into productive use and provide much needed facilities to the people of Cottam.”
