We were instructed by UK Energy Reserve Limited (UKER) to gain planning permission for small scale electricity generation plants located throughout the country. UKER is the leading independent developer and operator of smart, flexible power generation in the UK.
In the preparation of these applications, we closely managed a wide range of sub-consultants to gather detailed information on each Site to ensure the consistent quality of the submissions. Following this process, we then proactively guided the applications through to determination by working closely with Local Planning Authorities and key statutory consultees. In order to overcome a range of issues, including noise and air quality, landscape impact, ecological mitigation and flood risk, we also successfully liaised with relevant stakeholders including landowners, residents and local government.
Through our work, the necessary permissions were all secured within a very short timescale, enabling the swift development of UKER’s schemes across the UK. Following the first round of applications, we were retained by UKER to act on their behalf for a further round of applications. This has involved work across several regions including the North West, East Anglia and the East Midlands.
