We provided planning strategy advice for the promotion of two Sites to the south of Thame, South Oxfordshire (Sites C and D). The ultimate aim of the promotion was to secure a Development Plan Allocation for a residential-led development.
As part of the Planning Strategy we advised on the approach that should be taken towards the South Oxfordshire District Core Strategy and the Thame Neighbourhood Plan processes. This included the co-ordination of supporting technical studies and assessment, facilitating public consultation, political meetings, the submission of representations and attendance at the Core Strategy Examination and Thame Neighbourhood Plan hearing.
Both Sites C and D were allocated within the Thame Neighbourhood Plan for residential development and thus we successfully completed the land promotion specification elements of this project.
We went on to secure planning permission for outline proposals for the development of up to 175 new homes on Site D. This was the first approval in England for a housing site allocated through a Neighbourhood Plan process.
