LAND OFF OXFORD ROAD
We were instructed by Hollins Strategic Land to prepare and submit outline planning applications for residential development, totalling 83 dwellings, on two adjacent greenfield Sites located to the north-east of Calne in Wiltshire. Part of the Site was a long-standing employment allocation in the North Wiltshire Local Plan, which had been carried forward in the Wiltshire Core Strategy.
Following an assessment of the Council’s five-year housing land supply position, we submitted evidence in relation to marketing and demand for employment land within Calne. Working closely with Officers from the Council, we were able to obtain a recommendation for approval, in addition to appropriate Section 106 contributions.
As a result of extensive evidence-gathering and liaison with Local Authorities, we successfully argued that the planning balance lay in favour of redeveloping the site for housing.
