We were commissioned by Chiddingfold Parish Council to support the development of the area’s Neighbourhood Plan. Located within Waverley District in Surrey, Chiddingfold is a large village consisting of a historic core, prominent village green and several listed buildings. A large proportion of the village is located within Green Belt land and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, creating a challenging environment for development.
The Neighbourhood Plan is considering a wide range of key topics including the local economy, housing, transport, and social infrastructure. The plan also responds to the requirement from the emerging Waverley District Council Local Plan to accommodate a housing need of 150 new homes in Chiddingfold over the next 15 years.
To ensure effective community consultation and stakeholder engagement, we are also supporting a series of resident-led steering group meetings intended to drive the policy and plan making process.
Acting as the lead advisor to the Parish Council, our neighbourhood planning expertise is being fully utilised to ensure a sound and rigorous process, whilst supporting development of the plan as it progresses through the baseline, options and draft stages.
