We were appointed by Taylor Wimpey to promote a new garden community in the Green Belt at Blindley Heath, located within the rural southern half of Tandridge in Surrey. Proposals included 4,000 dwellings, 7 hectares of employment land, community/leisure facilities, health centre, primary and secondary schools and a new village centre.
We guided the project through the Local Plan process, promoting the concept of a sustainable rural community throughout. Our proposals gained significant interest from the Council through the use of extensive demographic analysis (namely multiple indices of deprivation data), which demonstrated positive benefits to approximately half the District through the delivery of this scheme.
The site reached the final stage in the Council’s site selection process and we continue to promote the site through the Council’s emerging Local Plan.
