We are delighted to have secured a resolution to grant full planning permission for a residential scheme in Southwick.

The scheme is promoted by the exciting new Joint Venture between West Sussex County Council and Lovell Partnerships, and has been designed by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris Architects. The application was approved by Adur Council Planning Committee.

The Site, which has been vacant and derelict since 2013, forms a prime opportunity for regeneration and for boosting the supply of homes in Adur District Council. It is also the first project to obtain a resolution to grant by the new JV.

The approved scheme will deliver 22 new homes, of which seven units will be affordable (31%). The scheme dwellings will be arranged around a generous central village green shared by all residents; and will also provide a Dedicated Ecology Area to boost biodiversity. The approved scheme boasts both a high-quality suitable design and residential experience, coupled with good placemaking as central to the vision.

The extensive community engagement programme has generated strong support from the local community, and the members of the Planning Committee referred to the scheme as being ‘exemplary’.
