On behalf of Stage Fifty, we are thrilled to have secured a unanimous resolution to grant planning permission via Buckinghamshire Council’s Strategic Sites Committee for temporary film studios near High Wycombe.
The development includes the construction of two sound stages, four workshop buildings and associated infrastructure, significantly helping to address the current shortage of such facilities.
The temporary film studios will create approximately 250 direct jobs, with a further 250 indirect jobs supported in the supply chain. This will range from the patronage of local shops, restaurants, hotels and building merchants to the demand for specialist services such as make-up artists, security firms and carpenters.
This scheme forms part of Stage Fifty’s wider investment plans to deliver Wycombe Film Studios – a permanent eight sound stage facility with a planning application due to be submitted shortly. If approved, this would become a major asset to High Wycombe and Buckinghamshire as a whole.
