Environmental Impacts Assessments and Sustainability Appraisals
We are a registered member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
KEY CONTACTS
We are a registered member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and have a team of ‘competent experts’ (as required by Regulation 18 of the EIA Regulations 2017) who undertake EIA co-ordination and production to assist clients in securing planning permission to deliver complex development proposals. In recognition of our commitment to quality in this field, we have also been awarded the EIA Quality Mark.
Our extensive knowledge of EIAs enables us to collaborate with experienced professionals capable of undertaking complex development projects and ensures that EIAs are prepared in a manner that is commensurate with the scale and nature of a project. Many of our EIA’s are been prepared in conjunction with our role as planning consultant, but we also operate as independent EIA co-ordinators, working alongside external planning consultants.
We are also able to undertake Health Impact and Socio-economic chapters as part of any EIA either as part of EIAs we are co-ordinating or on a standalone basis.
We are experienced in all aspects of screening, scoping and co-ordinating of project teams.
We also undertake a number of Sustainability Appraisals that incorporate Strategic Environmental Assessments in order to support the preparation of neighbourhood plans, supplementary planning documents (SPD) and other development plan documents.
In addition, we have significant experience of acting as a ‘critical friend’ to both the public and private sector clients when reviewing EIA’s and Sustainability Appraisals.
