For many years we have provided planning advice to Pangbourne Beaver Properties Ltd on the optimisation of their property portfolio. In undertaking this work, we identified planning potential for part of their estate adjacent to the western boundary of Pangbourne.
We promoted the site through the local plan process and submitted a planning application for 35 dwellings. As the proposed development was situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, landscape impacts were a significant consideration in our submission. In order to strengthen support for the application, we arranged and manned a public consultation event and provided a broad range of supporting reports and other information. The application included landscape and ecological enhancements which were secured by a Section 106 agreement.
Planning permission was successfully granted despite significant local opposition to the development.
